Fayr built around timestamped, tamper-resistant records and check-ins — the pitch being that what happened is on the record and can't be quietly edited later. If that's what drew you to it, that's the right instinct: it's the same reason a court trusts an unalterable message history over a screenshot.

Export your message history, calendar, and expense records before you switch, and keep a copy you control.
What actually matters when you pick the next one
The feature parents ask about most here is the verifiable record. When you compare, look past the app's own dashboard to what you can actually export and hand to a court — a record you can only read inside the app is worth less than one you can take with you and independently verify.
- Records you can rely on. If a message history can be edited or deleted, it isn't evidence. Look for append-only records and a way to verify an export is genuine.
- What it costs both of you. Per-parent pricing is the most common complaint about every paid app in this category — the parent who didn't want the app resents paying, and often simply doesn't.
- Whether your court or attorney expects a specific one. If there's an order naming an app, that settles it — ask your attorney before switching.
