What Kentucky expects
Kentucky's 2018 law created a rebuttable presumption that joint custody AND equally shared parenting time are in the child's best interest — the strongest equal-time presumption in the country. Plans start at 50/50 and argue away from it.

The honest trade-off
Exchanges land on the same two days every week, which makes it easy to remember, and no one waits more than four nights. The trade is that which parent has the weekend flips each week, so weekend plans need a two-week memory.
